I have chatted with a number of guests over the past 18 months about ageing well as it’s a topic that I know many of our listeners are interested in.
This week’s interview is with someone who has a profound interest in ways via which we can improve the health and quality of life outcomes in older adults.
Dr Jitka Vseteckova is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health, Wellbeing and Social Care at the Open University. She is involved in a plethora of research projects and training courses, all focused on helping people stay healthy far into their retirement years.
Jitka talks about the impact exercise can have in putting the daily stress we experience in to perspective.
Against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, I thought it would be interesting to understand what steps older adults can take to stay fit and well at these challenging times.
