After running her own digital communications company for 30 years, Victoria noticed something interesting – a lot of experienced employees were being recommended to her as they looked for new ways to use their skills as they transition into retirement.

She spotted a pattern, noticing these people didn’t want to be retired, but they did want to leave full-time corporate jobs.

So, Victoria launched Next-Up to help people prepare for unretirement and use their skills in new ways. The company now runs workshops for professional firms and have an online platform, Rethink Retirement, for all employees. The biggest issue is helping people understand the emotional impact at this stage of life and then explore ideas for their next steps. Hundreds of people share their experiences and stories in videos, bringing the issues and opportunities to life.

Thanks to Next-Up, 70% of people who initially feel apprehensive about retirement end up feeling excited about the opportunities ahead. Victoria is passionate about leveraging the knowledge and experience of this generation to help people find purpose, make a difference in society, and follow their passions in retirement.

During our conversation, Victoria shares her story of starting Next-Up, some inspiring success stories, and her vision for the future of her company and her generation.
